Hello my name is Troy Williams and I have personally had the opportunity to experience this wonderful Destin Fishing trip aboard the Charter Boat Bounty Hunter with my Son MA3 Brad Williams while he was on leave from US Navy.

Capatin Mark and Eric brought the boat back early this morning. Scotty got to drive the truck back. The dry dock stuff is all packed up and back in the storage unit where it will stay until next year when we go through the same thing.

Charter Fishing Destin Florida Detroit Diesel is coming on Monday to pull the clutch and take it back to the shop for a rebuild.

That will take about a week and then we’ll be ready to start taking trips. It will be great not to have to worry about the clutch going out in the middle of the charter fishing Destin season.

Today was cold and windy at the boat yard but the boot stripe got painted, the letters went on, the bottom got painted and tomorrow one of the finest charter boats Destin comes back to it’s home at the Marina Cafe. Captain Mark, Eric and Scotty have worked hard and almost every single day to get the Bounty Hunter ready for fishing. We still have topside Coast Guard inspection to get through but that isn’t something that will keep us from fishing and we’ll talk about that in another blog.

Charter Boats Destin still has one big thing to address before the fishing season begins and that is to get the clutch rebuilt.

It is working but Captain Mark does not want to take the chance that it will break in the middle of the season. Now is the ideal time to get it fixed and we have Florida Detroit Diesel coming to do the work. Those guys charge a lot but you get what you pay for! So tomorrow morning our 3 guys will head to Freeport to the Fisherman’s boat yard and wait for the boatyard people to fire up the sling and get them back in the water so they can start on the journey back to Destin.
