Destin Fishing vacation booking for the first time can be quite daunting – you will be asking yourself important questions such as:

Is this Charter Boat Bounty Hunter Verified Safe?
Will they supply the Licenses, Tackle, Dead bait?
Are their plenty of Destin Fishing in the Gulf?
Do they offer safe parking?
Do they accept credit cards?
Do they support the U.S. military?

Hello my name is Troy Williams and I have personally had the opportunity to experience this wonderful Destin Fishing trip aboard the Charter Boat Bounty Hunter with my Son MA3 Brad Williams while he was on leave from US Navy.

There were many things that I would like to share about Captain Mark Walker and the Charter Boat Bounty Hunter during our Destin Fishing trip.

What we liked the most was easy access to the dock, great parking not congested like many Destin Fishing trips that we have done in the past; they are located on exclusive private docks behind the Marina Cafe restaurant. Great construction free location with live oak shade trees in a quiet serene setting.

The Bounty Hunter was very clean, neat and organized USCG approved for up to 22 passengers always kept up constantly by Captain Mark and his mate. The mate did all the work so all we had to do is hold on to the fishing pole and reel the big fish in. They supplied the Licenses, Tackle, Dead bait. The mate cut our fish and bagged it up as well which was something that I would never do myself!

Captain Mark has been Destin Fishing and diving since he was a young boy in California. Later he moved to the Florida Keys where he fished and ran a dive shop. He is a divemaster and has been Destin Fishing in Florida for over 20 years.

We booked an 8 hour Destin Fishing trip so that way we could go far out and catch the big fish and enjoy the entire day in the sun and watch the dolphins swim along side of us that was a real treat to see.

Captain Mark knew where to take us to be sure that we have the best Destin Fish available to catch as soon as we dropped the hooks in the water they started biting immediately we caught some Red Snapper, king mackerel and lots of sun rays and arrived back to the dock with some wonderful memories that you cannot put a price on.

If you are looking for a vacation excursion trip this year I highly recommend that you check out the Charter Boat Bounty Hunter for your next Destin Fishing trip.

They are booking Destin Fishing trips just about every day so make sure you call as soon as possible to be sure that you get the day you want for your Destin Fishing Charters trip!

Kids 12 and under go free on private charters with over 6 people (all season) Special rate – 8 for the price of 6! Now until June 1! Fish for amberjack & white snapper now! Lots of fish in the Gulf to catch! We fish year round.

Red Snapper season opens June 1st 2012 (we hope)
http://www.charterdestin.com/the-fish/red-snapper/

It’s all about YOU having fun so come fish with us and you’ll want to come back year after year!

March is the beginning of our season. The catch is mostly amberjack, triggerfish, white snapper and some grouper (not gag). It’s not peak, but the fishing is still good.

The Crew is there to help you so please listen carefully to them, follow their advise and direction. You will catch more Destin Fish and have an experience you will not soon forget.

Book your Destin Fishing winter/spring trip now! To be sure that you get the day you want for your Destin Fishing trip! 850-650-1534

The Bounty Hunter is back in it’s slip but not quite ready to go charter fishing Destin just yet. Capatin Mark and Eric brought the boat back early this morning. Scotty got to drive the truck back. The dry dock stuff is all packed up and back in the storage unit where it will stay until next year when we go through the same thing.

Florida Detroit Diesel is coming on Monday to pull the clutch and take it back to the shop for a rebuild. That will take about a week and then we’ll be ready to start taking trips. It will be great not to have to worry about the clutch going out in the middle of the charter fishing Destin season.

So, another dry dock has come and gone. We did well with the hull inspection and in a month or two we’ve got topside inspection. The guys will work hard to make sure we pass that one so that we’re ready to go charter fishing Destin.

We are booking trips just about every day now which makes us very happy. Make sure you call us as soon as possible to be sure that you get the day you want for your charter fishing Destin trip!
Today was cold and windy at the boat yard but the boot stripe got painted, the letters went on, the bottom got painted and tomorrow one of the finest charter boats Destin comes back to it’s home at the Marina Cafe. Captain Mark, Eric and Scotty have worked hard and almost every single day to get the Bounty Hunter ready for fishing. We still have topside Coast Guard inspection to get through but that isn’t something that will keep us from fishing and we’ll talk about that in another blog.

We still have one big thing to address before the fishing season begins and that is to get the clutch rebuilt. It is working but Captain Mark does not want to take the chance that it will break in the middle of the season. Now is the ideal time to get it fixed and we have Florida Detroit Diesel coming to do the work. Those guys charge a lot but you get what you pay for! They come when they say, they do the work right, they guarantee it and get charter boats Destin back to fishing fast.

So tomorrow morning our 3 guys will head to Freeport to the Fisherman’s boat yard and wait for the boatyard people to fire up the sling and get them back in the water so they can start on the journey back to Destin. I guess Scotty and Eric will flip a coin to see who rides on the boat and who drives the truck. It’s been a great dry dock for the Bounty Hunter charter boats Destin.

Lets book a great fishing trip for you! Call now to book your 2012 trip!
It was a really good week at dry dock. We have been very lucky with the weather and are very close to being able to bring the boat back to Destin. The Coast Guard came to inspect the boat on Friday and were very pleased. We got a clean inspection with no “gigs” so we can leave when we finish. The guys are doing some touch up paint work and as soon as it dries the stern letters can go on, the bottom gets painted and into the water we go.

We are really looking forward to the upcoming season. There are already some trips on the books and we’re getting quite a few phone calls on a regular basis so it’s looking good for 2012. We’ve been doing the usual winter chores like going through the tackle catalogues and ordering for the season.

There are going to be some big changes on the Destin fishing docks this year. The city of Destin is building a boardwalk all the way from the Lucky Snapper way down past the Boat House. It looks like it’s going to be a big constructions project with lots of parking disruptions. We like being on our docks down at the Marina Cafe. The other folks with businesses down there are great and we all get along well and help each other. It’s a nice little quiet community and we like being a part of it. Best of all we won’t have the construction turmoil that all the other boats will have to deal with this year.

Well, we’d sure like to hear from you and look forward to booking your trips so give us a call and we’ll get you on the books for the day you want.
Call now! 850-650-1534

It’s that time of the year when we head over to Freeport and take the boat out of the water. We left on a freezing cold day last Monday and made the long run into the bay rivers to the Fisherman’s Boatyard. The boat got taken out of the water without a hitch, the weather turned warm and Mark, Eric and Scott have been working everyday except the one they took off to go “fun fishing” with Captain Art.

Captain Mark is very pleased with the progress so far. Scotty and Eric have the bottom sanded and Mark is doing some fiberglass work on the scrubshoe and transom. Very few blisters in the fiberglass which is great news and something you always have to be concerned about. It’s also one of the things the Coast Guard looks for when they inspect and they will be there on Friday. We are confident that they will be very happy and send us on our way but we shall see!

We will be having a clutch rebuild before the season begins and were hoping for Florida Detroit Diesel to make it out to the boatyard to do the work but they’ve been tied up and probably won’t make it out before it’s time for us to leave and head back to Destin. It sure would be nicer for them not to have to pull all that out at the Marina Cafe with all those stairs but looks like that will be the case.

Well it looks like we will be running some Destin charter fishing trips this Christmas season. We’ve got 3 on the books now for the next week. Our first one will be Thursday and the seas look pretty good so far but this time of the year we keep an even closer eye on the sea conditions than we do in the warmer months. These folks are with their families who have come to Destin for the Christmas holidays. We’re going to take them out and show them a good time fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Captain Mark, Eric and Scott are looking forward to getting back on the water. Winter is “land work” time for Destin charter fishing guys and they’ve spent a few weeks working on building a barn up in Georgia. It’s good winter work and a prelude to what is to come in January. Yes, it’s that time of the year again when Destin charter fishing boats have to pull out of the water and do the dry dock chores. This year is the Coast Guard inspection of the hull so we have to be extra ready for that. One of our clutches will be rebuilt during dry dock so there will be no problems in the busy season. There’s nothing worse than breaking down when you have lots of trips on the books and we do everything in our power to make sure that does not happen. Eric and Scott are hard workers and hopefully it won’t take too long to get whatever needs to be done finished quickly and get back in the water so we can be ready to go fishing!

Give us a call and get on our Christmas booking list!
There was a solid wall of water across the Destin pass so we opted to do a little harbor and Destin pass fishing with some old friends. It may not have been the total fishing experience for the folks on the boat but it wasn’t about that. More about getting with some old dive team buddies and their friends and spending time together.

This time of year the weather can be pretty unpredictable for Destin FL fishing and a storm front is definitely coming in so we played it safe and a good time was had by all. We actually caught white snapper in the Destin harbor! There are some pretty good fish to catch in the harbor especially in the winter. There are white trout which taste a lot like white snapper and make for a very good meal! They are not big but are plentiful so if a few folks get together and catch a bunch it makes for a very good winter fish fry. There are also have sheepshead and flounder in the harbor which are very good eating.

Basically things have wound down for the season but we are still willing and able to run Destin FL fishing trips any time you want to go. The fishing is good but this time of the year we advise booking your trip at the beginning of your stay. That way if the weather is bad you will have a window to reschedule for later in your stay. So if you are planning a trip to Destin and want to go fishing just give us a call.
Call now! 850-650-1534

It’s a great time of the year to visit the Emerald Coast! Believe it or not, with winter weather in many parts of the county, you can still go outside here in Destin in short sleeves or a sweatshirt. We’ve had a few days that have been cold but here on the Gulf coast the cold usually doesn’t last very long and soon the days warm up nicely. It is the perfect time to go fishing in Destin so why wait?

Many of the snowbirds have arrived for the winter. Those are the people we see on freezing cold days in shorts, flip flops and tank tops. They must have built up an immunity to the cold that we in the south definitely do NOT have! They’re in the pools and actually swimming in the Gulf when the rest of us are bundled up in our homes with the heat on. It’s easy to tell the locals from the snowbirds that’s for sure!

We are hoping to get some Thanksgiving trips on the books. It’s a great time to go fishing in Destin if your family is planning a holiday get-together at the beach. We can accommodate large groups up to 22 although we can only fish 12 at once. We also offer something that no other boat fishing in Destin does, kids 12 and under go for free on the Bounty Hunter so there’s no reason to leave them behind. Lets take your kids out and teach them how to fish, it’s what we do!

Call us to book your Thanksgiving fishing in Destin trip!
