Dolphin (aka. mahi mahi or dorado) are usually caught on items floating in the water and on weed lines in the warmer months. They can be in schools which is a spectacular sight or "loners" that can hook up on your fly pole. There is a special technique in catching these fish and once you have it down you can put as many as 60 fish in the boat in a very short time. Just watch for flying hooks cause it happens fast!

Catch them from late May through October.

Bag limit: 10 per person per day with a maximum of 60 per vessel per day.

Size limit: none yet but there is rumor that will change in the near future.
