SAILFISH
The sailfish is not a fish to target in the waters of the Gulf. If one is caught it is an incidental happening and an exciting occasion. Rather than setting out on a “sailfish” trip it is best to book a long deep water trolling trip and see what kind of sea monsters show up.
Catch them from June through October.
Bag limit: 1 per person per day.
Size limit: 63″ from the bottom of the jaw to fork of the tail.
These are a tag and release fish.
