Destin Charter Boat Bounty Hunter Tonight is the Annual Destin Boat Parade.

The year is coming to an end for the destin charter boat and the Christmas season is in full swing. It’s the time of year for people to spend time with their family and friends and be thankful for their blessings. Captain Mark’s son is coming for a couple of weeks and they are planning to have a great visit.
Destin Charter Boat We’ve also got 5 grandsons that will be fun to spend time with. It’s never a dull moment when all the boys are around!
We want to wish everyone out there a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Tonight is the annual Destin charter boat parade. For those that don’t live on the coast this parade is quite a change of pace for people used to seeing parades only on the street. There is a great atmosphere and spirit of Christmas with lots of Christmas music and decorations on the water as well as all around it. The boats really go all out with their decorations and lights so we get to see a blaze of color on the water tonight. Our 2012 fishing season was a good one.
One of the many highlights was winning the Destin Fishing Rodeo’s Red Grouper division. Our good friend and customer, Mike Kitchens, caught the 15.8 lb. fish on October 6th. It held through the whole rodeo and came in first place. There were lots of great times all season on the Destin Charter Boat Bounty Hunter and we are looking forward to 2013 being even better that 2012. We have so many repeat customers that we enjoy having with us year after year. It’s especially fun to watch their kids growing up. These kids remember what they’re taught too, sometimes even better than the adults! We’ve already got people booking for the 2013 season and we are excited about the good things and times to come.
We have packed up the destin charter boat already and are taking the rest of the year off. Part of the reason is to spend time with our family and the other is the fact that there are very few fish that we can legally catch right now. This time of the year we specialize in short trips when we would normally go out and try for some triggerfish and white snapper. The white snapper are still open but not the triggerfish that are a favorite of lots of people. They will be open starting Jan 1st. Once they open and we finish with dry dock we’ll be up and ready for charters.
The first of the year we will be taking the destin charter boat over to Freeport for our annual dry dock. This year is hull inspection with the Coast Guard and we are confident that all will go well with that. Basically we do the same thing every year at dry dock whether or not we have inspection. This involves checking the integrity of the fiberglass to make sure there are no bubbles or delamination as well as tuning up the props and repainting the boat.
We at the Destin Charter Boat Bounty Hunter wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Be sure to book your trips for 2013 early to be sure you get the day you want. Give us a call anytime! 850-650-1534
