Today was cold and windy at the boat yard but the boot stripe got painted, the letters went on, the bottom got painted and tomorrow one of the finest charter boats Destin comes back to it’s home at the Marina Cafe. Captain Mark, Eric and Scotty have worked hard and almost every single day to get the Bounty Hunter ready for fishing. We still have topside Coast Guard inspection to get through but that isn’t something that will keep us from fishing and we’ll talk about that in another blog.

We still have one big thing to address before the fishing season begins and that is to get the clutch rebuilt. It is working but Captain Mark does not want to take the chance that it will break in the middle of the season. Now is the ideal time to get it fixed and we have Florida Detroit Diesel coming to do the work. Those guys charge a lot but you get what you pay for! They come when they say, they do the work right, they guarantee it and get charter boats Destin back to fishing fast.

So tomorrow morning our 3 guys will head to Freeport to the Fisherman’s boat yard and wait for the boatyard people to fire up the sling and get them back in the water so they can start on the journey back to Destin. I guess Scotty and Eric will flip a coin to see who rides on the boat and who drives the truck. It’s been a great dry dock for the Bounty Hunter charter boats Destin.
